The radiant singer and actress Ann Blyth personifies the era of the great and glamorous movies, stage and television. Her memorable performance as Veda, the tormented daughter of Joan Crawford, in the film noir masterpiece MILDRED PIERCE (1945) earned her an Academy Award nomination and an iconic place in film history.
Ann starred in over thirty-five movies, all showing her innate sense for comedy, drama, or, naturally, music. In addition to MILDRED PIERCE, her favorite films from her career include Mr. Peabody and the Mermaid (1948), Our Very Own (1950), The Helen Morgan Story (1957), and the musicals The Great Caruso (1951) and KISMET (1955). She co-starred with some of Hollywood’s most exciting leading men, among them Paul Newman, Tyrone Power, Donald O’Connor, Robert Mitchum, Howard Keel, Farley Granger, Mario Lanza, William Powell, Gregory Peck and Fredric March.
