Maureen Crowe

Maureen Crowe is a pioneering force in music supervision and a leading advocate for the role of music in storytelling across film, television and animation. As founding president of The Guild of Music Supervisors and an active leader within the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Television Academy, and the Recording Academy, she has advanced recognition and standards for the field. Crowe is known for her record-breaking work on The Bodyguard soundtrack and for contributions to Oscar-winning Chicago, the rock classic Wayne’s World, and Newsies. Honored with the Guild of Music Supervisors Legacy Award — with tributes from industry icons including Kevin Costner and Clive Davis — she has driven the creation of Guild awards and helped secure Grammy and Emmy recognition for music supervisors. Crowe continues to lead major projects, including upcoming work with Skydance Animation, while championing the creation of an Oscar category for music supervision.
