Gigi Perreau
Gigi’s career as a child actor started in 1943 at the age of 18 months when Mervyn LeRoy cast her as Éve Curie in Madame Curie, starring Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon. She played the daughter of Bette Davis and Claude Rains’ daughter in Mr. Skeffington. Her first big role was in Enchantment with David Niven and Teresa Wright. Has Anybody Seen My Gal?, starring Rock Hudson, featured Gigi in a scene with a first-time actor, James Dean.
She has also had roles in: Family Honeymoon, For Heaven’s Sake, The Lady Pays Off, Reunion in Reno, Bonzo Goes to College, The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit, and Dance with Me, Henry.
Gigi is the only living participant from the groundbreaking ceremony of the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 and is one of the first 50 people to have received the honor as well. Linda Darnell, Charles Coburn, and Frances X. Bushman were among the other celebrities there on that historic day.
With over 40 feature films and 100 television shows to her credit, Gigi is still acting in both animation and feature films.
In 2019, she was honored as a Cinecon Legacy Award Honoree, presented at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. A screening of Shadow on the Wall, starring Nancy Davis, Ann Sothern, and Zachary Scott, played to a full house.
In 2020, the RiverRun International Film Festival honored Gigi with a lifetime achievement award, screening For Heaven’s Sake with Joan Bennett, Robert Cummings, Edmund Gwenn, Joan Blondell, and Clifton Webb.
Gigi is currently writing her memoir, titled Everybody’s Little Girl.
