El Capitan Theatre

Capacity: 998 seats

Opening as a playhouse in 1926, the El Capitan hosted the West Coast premiere of Citizen Kane in 1941 and was converted to an “art moderne” movie theater. Renovated to its former glory in 1991 by the Walt Disney Company, it now hosts film screenings, stage productions, and a spectacular Wurlitzer pipe organ.
