Nick Varley

Nick is a film industry veteran of over twenty-five years. He founded and was CEO of international sales and distribution company Park Circus Films which he sold in 2014. Nick left Park Circus in 2019 to consult for several major companies and family offices operating in the film space. Principally, though, he mainly works now as a producer, most notably of documentaries on cinema and entertainment but increasingly on scripted material. 

Nick produced Matthew Wells’ first feature documentary, FRANK CAPRA: MR AMERICA for Sony Pictures, which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in 2023. Together with Matthew Wells he produced MADE IN ENGLAND: THE FILMS OF POWELL AND PRESSBURGER, a feature documentary executive produced and presented by Martin Scorsese for Screen Scotland and BBC Films, which premiered at the 2024 Berlinale. In addition, Nick was executive producer on Damian Hirst’s Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable (2017), and several of Matthew Wells’ short films for Warner Bros. and Sony.
