K.J. Relth-Miller
K.J. Relth-Miller is a film programmer, writer, and educator based in Los Angeles. Since 2022 she has been the Director of Film Programs at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures after previously programming for the UCLA Film & Television Archive, the Slamdance Film Festival, AFI Film Festival, and The Cinefamily. From 2018 through 2022, Relth-Miller was an adjunct professor in the Department of Film/Video at the California Institute of the Arts. Her writing on moving image history can be found in Filmmaker magazine, Acid Free, Framework, Truth and Soul: A Robert Downey Sr. Reader (Spectacular Optical, 2025), and Screening Women Filmmakers (Routledge, 2026). She holds a Master of Arts in Media Studies & Film from The New School.
