Christina Lane

Christina Lane is an award-winning film scholar and historian. Her 2020 biography Phantom Lady: Hollywood Producer Joan Harrison, the Forgotten Woman Behind Hitchcock received the Edgar^® Award and Agatha Award. She is a frequent contributor to such publications as Air Mail, The Daily Mail, Ms., and the Miami Herald, and has been a featured guest speaker at the Film Forum in New York City and on TCM’s Noir Alley. Additionally, she contributed commentary to the 2021 documentary I Am Alfred Hitchcock as well as the restoration on Blu-ray of the Joan Harrison-produced Circle of Danger (1950), released by StudioCanal in 2024.

A Professor in the Department of Cinematic Arts at the University of Miami, she has published extensively on the work of such filmmakers as Jodie Foster, Kathyrn Bigelow, Susan Seidelman, Darnell Martin, and Paul Thomas Anderson. She is the Director of the Norton Herrick Center for Motion Picture Studies at the University of Miami.
