Jake Flynn

Jake Beauchamp Flynn has worked in politics and entertainment for over a decade. He currently serves as an advisor to Los Angeles City Councilmember Bob Blumenfield, focusing on communications and historic preservation among other issues. Jake’s mother was the award-winning author, film historian, and documentarian Cari Beauchamp. 
 
Throughout her prolific career, Cari authored many books includingWithout Lying Down: Frances Marion and the Powerful Women of Early Hollywood. She earned Writers Guild of America and Emmy nominations and wrote for publications such as Vanity Fair, The Los Angeles Times, and The Hollywood Reporter. She was an admired member of the TCM family and a unique voice at the festival since its inaugural year. 
 
At this year’s festival, Jake is honored to help celebrate Cari’s legacy and all she did to share the incredible stories of women in Hollywood history.
