Miranda Banks

Miranda Banks is Associate Professor and Chair of Film, Television, and Media Studies at Loyola Marymount University. She is the author ofThe Writers: A History of American Screenwriters and Their Guild, and coeditor of three books onProduction Studies. She has been interviewed on television, radio, and podcasts as an area expert during the 2023 dual WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Her latest book about last year’s strikes,Hollywood Walkout: Creative Labor in the Age of Streaming, will come out next year with University of California Press.
