Andy Marx

Andy Marx is an award-winning writer, photographer, and performer whose work spans journalism, film, radio, and live performance. As the grandson of two entertainment legends — the iconic Groucho Marx, and Gus Kahn, the lyricist behind such timeless songs as “It Had to Be You” and “Makin’ Whoopee” — Andy brings a rare, personal perspective to the golden age of American entertainment. His one-man multimedia show, It Had to Be Gus…and Groucho, Too!, is an engaging tribute to his grandfathers’ enduring legacies, told through music, storytelling, and humor. Andy’s writing has appeared in the Los Angeles TimesVariety, and other major publications, and his photography has been widely exhibited. He’s also hosted shows on SiriusXM and continues to perform and speak across the country, sharing songs, stories, and behind-the-scenes moments from two of showbiz’s most iconic lives.
