Jeannie Twila Franz
Jeannie Twila Franz’s career began with curating film programs at the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery in Lincoln, Nebraska, first as the student chairperson of the Foreign Film Committee, and later as an Assistant to the Curator of Film. After moving to Atlanta, Georgia in the early 1990s, Turner Broadcasting hired Franz as a Library Assistant, which led to her becoming a Film Researcher in February 1994 at the newly created Turner Classic Movies channel. From 1994 to 2007, she held many positions at TCM, all of which she considered dream jobs. At TCM, she worked closely on many projects with the esteemed Robert Osborne. Moving to Los Angeles in 2007 provided her with various opportunities in the film/television industry. Her last full-time position, another dream job, was with Sony Television Pictures. Currently, she is helping to produce a documentary featuring the art of her husband, Clerio Demoraes.
