Foster Hirsch

Foster Hirsch, who has been teaching at Brooklyn College for 58 years and counting, is the author of Hollywood and the Movies of the Fifties: The Collapse of the Studio System, the Thrill of Cinerama, and the Invasion of the Ultimate Body Snatcher – Television, published in 2023 recently by Alfred A. Knopf.  Among his other books are Otto Preminger: The Man Who Would Be King, A Method to Their Madness: The History of the Actors Studio,and The Dark Side of the Screen: Film Noir.
