Jenny He

Jenny He is Exhibitions Curator at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. In addition to the upcoming John Waters: Pope of Trash (September 2023), she has curated exhibitions on Pedro Almodóvar, Hildur Guðnadóttir, animation filmmakers, special and visual effects artists, and numerous other subjects for the museum. Previously, she independently organized and toured The World of Tim Burton to multiple venues in Latin America, Asia, and Europe, including the Museum of Image and Sound, São Paulo (2016), and the Mori Arts Center, Tokyo (2014–15), after co-curating the retrospective exhibition Tim Burton at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York (2009), the third highest attended exhibition in the museum’s history. At MoMA, she curated over 30 film series and gallery exhibitions, including Crafting Genre: Kathryn Bigelow (2011), which was named to The Village Voice’s “Best NYC Art Shows of 2011” list, and co-organized Pixar: 20 Years of Animation (2005–6).
