Xanadu (1980)

Frustrated L.A. painter Sonny (Michael Beck), who creates large-scale copies of album covers for record stores but dreams of becoming an important artist, is visited by Kira (Olivia Newton-John), a mythological muse on roller skates. The two quickly fall in love, and she inspires him and his friend, former big-band clarinetist Danny (Gene Kelly), to open a nightclub. Complete with a soundtrack album that reached Double Platinum status, the film has become a cherished camp classic.
