The Big Chill (1983)
Director and cowriter Lawrence Kasdan’s generational touchstone about a group of thirty-somethings who reunite upon the death of one of their friends gets a 40th anniversary screening. Descending on the summer home of Sarah (Glenn Close) and Harold (Kevin Kline) are discontented characters played by Mary Kay Place, William Hurt, JoBeth Williams, Tom Berenger, Jeff Goldblum, and Meg Tilly, who share their mid-life frustrations against a soundtrack of ‘60s and ‘70s hits.
