TIM ZINNEMANN

Tim Zinnemann worked in the entertainment industry for over 45 years before retiring in 2009 to work full time as a photographer. He began his career in Rome in 1960, where he worked as an assistant film editor for four years, returning to Hollywood while working on The Pink Panther (1963). He went on to become an assistant director, production manager and finally a producer in 1975. Zinnemann has worked on over a hundred films in various capacities. Some of his credits include: Bullitt (1968), The Great White Hope (1970), The Cowboys (1972), Carnal Knowledge (1971), Day of the Dolphin (1973), The King of Marvin Gardens (1972), Day of the Locust (1975), Straight Time (1978), The Jericho Mile (1979), The Long Riders (1980), Tex (1982) and The Running Man (1982). He is the only son of director Fred Zinnemann. Tim is a member of the Academy and of the Director’s Guild.
