MARY JO DESCHANEL

Mary Jo Deschanel has worked in film and television for over 40 years. Her breakout role was Annie Glenn in Philp Kaufman’s Oscar-winning THE RIGHT STUFF (1983). Other film roles include 2010 (1984), The Patriot (2000) and Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces (2014). Deschanel has appeared in television roles in shows such as Midnight Caller, Law and Order, J.A.G, House and Criminal Minds. She’s wrote and performed seven characters in her one-woman show D..TH .N V.N.C., which she performed at Pacific Residence Theater in 2013 and 2014. She has also portrayed Alma Winemiller in Tennessee Williams Eccentricities of a Nightingale, a PRT production in 2016 and directed by Dana Jackson. Deschanel earned a B.A. in Theatre at UCLA and is a member of PRT. She is the wife of cinematographer Caleb Deschanel and mother of actresses Emily and Zooey Deschanel.
