Kate MacMurray

Kate MacMurray is the daughter of actors Fred MacMurray and June Haver, who graced the Golden Age of Hollywood moviemaking. Kate was raised in Sonoma County and in Los Angeles. She showed an early interest in film production and a love for cinema storytelling.

She continued her love of film by enthusiastically pursuing education, leading to an MA from USC in Cinema-Television. She recently completed her second graduate degree, an MFA in Creative Writing and Writing for the Performing Arts, at the University of California, Riverside’s Palm Desert campus. 

Kate has performed in and produced films. She is a passionate student of filmmaking and writing. She has written numerous scripts and is currently writing a collection of short story fiction. She is also deeply involved with the Fred and June MacMurray Foundation.

Kate lives in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County, California, where she is actively engaged in Sonoma’s thriving wine community and in several local charities. She is the spokesperson for MacMurray Estate Vineyards.
